Christmas Collection: Thank you for your continued generosity to The Graan and especially for all the gifts, donations and collection at Christmas. May God reward you all.  

Last Sunday’s collection amounted to £1685. There will be a Development Collection taken up after Communion at all Masses today.

 

Today is the feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

 

Happy New Year: We wish each and every one of you a happy and blessed New Year from all here at The Graan Monastery.

 

Post Christmas Arrangements: St Stephen’s Day – Saturday 26th, Vigil Mass at 6.30pm.

Sunday 27th – 10.30am, 12noon & 4pm.

 

Mon 28th, Tues 29th , Wed 30th, New Year’s Eve& New Year’s Day – Mass @ 11am. No evening Mass.

The shop will be open from 10am – 12noon each day.

 

Saturday 2nd – Vigil Mass @ 6.30pm. The shop and Monastery will be open all day.

Sunday 3rd – 10.30am, 12noon & 4pm.

Confessions will resume on Saturday (2nd January 2016) from 5pm- 6pm.

 

Christmas Crib: Please visit our special Graan Crib. Donations will be given to the Poor.

Feast of St Charles of Mount Argus – Tuesday 5th Jan. Mass and Blessing of the Relic of St Charles at 8.00pm. That will also be the Vigil Mass for the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6th.

 

Novena of Hopetakes place from the 27th/28th Feb – 7th March 2016.

Cleaning Group: January’s Church Cleaning Group will meet on Wednesday 6th January.

 

Friday’s Exposition: Exposition resumes on Friday 8th January.  

 

Fr Brian’s new book ‘And Catch the Heart off Guard’ has been a bestseller. Price £11 or €13. All proceeds go to Refugee Agencies.

Here is an extract from the book. Mother Teresa was asked why she ‘did not give a rod with which to fish, into the hands of the poor, rather than the fish itself, as this makes them remain poor.’ Her response was: ‘The people whom we pick up are not able to stand with a rod. So today I will give them fish and when they are able to stand, then I shall send them to you and you can give them the rod.’

 

The Shop is open from Monday to Friday –9.30am – 8.30pm. Sat – 9.30am – 7pm and Sun - 9.30am – 5pm.
