Sunday Collection: The Collection came to £1555. The Development Collection came to £581. Thank you for your kind contributions as always. There will be a Development Collection taken up next Sunday 8th May.

Bank Holiday Monday:We have our Bank holiday Mass @ 11am followed by Blessing of Babies. At the end of Mass we will bless the oil and then bless each baby with blessed oil.

There will be no Evening Mass @ 8pm. The shop will be open until 12NOON.

 

Friday is the First Friday of the month. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament all day from 10am until 5pm. Confessions Tuesday to Friday 2- 5pm. Saturday 5pm – 6.15pm.

 

The Code for the Safeguarding of Children / Vulnerable Adults has been updated. Thanks to all those who attended our recent meeting. We would like to remind parents at Mass etc the need to ensure they are with their children whilst in the carparks. If children need to use the toilets, a parent should always accompany them.

 

Life in the Spirt Retreat – Continues here at The Graan each Thursday at 8.30pm until 19th May, Please contact Fr Victor.

Dana’s Concert:In St Patrick’s Church, Derrygonnelly this Friday 6th May begins at 8pm. Admission - £15. Tickets are available at reception today. Please support the Building Restoration Fund.

Pentecost Sunday (15th May) – Devotions @ 7pm with Rosary, talk on the Holy Spirit, anointing with blessed oil & Benediction.

Passionist Vocations: A weekend retreat for young men interested in knowing more about life as a priest or brother in the Passionist Community will be held at the Passionist Monastery, Tobar Mhuire, Crossgar, County Down, beginning on the evening of Friday, 10 June and concluding with lunch on Sunday, 12 June. Important Feasts this Week: Tuesday – St Philip & St James, Apostles. Thursday - Blessed Edmund Rice was born in Kilkenny. After his young wife’s early death, he sold his possessions and dedicated his life to the education of the poor.

 

Prayer for preparation to study: Lord, I know that you are with me and that you love me. / Give me peace of mind as I prepare for this time of study. / Help me to focus on my books and notes, and keep me free from all distractions so that I will make the best use of this time that is available to me. / Give me insight that I might understand what I am studying, and help me to remember it when exam time comes. / Above all, I thank you for the ability to be able to study and for the many gifts and talents you have given me. / Help me always to use them in such a way that they honour you and do justice to myself.   Amen.
