Confessions & duty: Tuesday – Friday inclusive 2pm – 5pm. Saturday: 5pm – 6pm. Monday to Friday Mass: 8pm.

Fri - Blessed Dominic of the Mother of God, born Dominic Barberi (22 June 1792 - 27 August 1849) was an Italian theologian and a member of the Passionist Congregation. He was beatified by Pope Paul VI in 1963.He received Bl. Henry Newman into the Catholic Church. Sat - St Monica, mother of St Augustine. Patron St of mothers.

Prayer to Blessed Dominic Barberi, Apostle of England: Heavenly Father, through Mary, Mother of God we thank you for the life and witness of Blessed Dominic Barberi, Passionist and Apostle of Christian unity and of England. You gave him a great love for this land, the Dowry of Mary, as the Christian churches pray and work towards greater unity we ask blessed Dominic to show us the way through mutual prayer reparation and love. Through his intercession grant also the grace for which we now pray. (There are free booklets on Blessed Dominic’s life available in the display unit at the Nursing Home entrance to the church.)

 

Midsummer Music - Local musicians Lauren Coulter, soprano, and Matthew Murphy, organist and piano accompanist, will be performing a variety of their favourite classical and sacred music in St. Michael's Church, on Thursday 25th of August at 7:30pm. Admission £8. The event will be supporting The Alzheimers Society.

 

The Shop:You are invited to visit our shop. There is a wide range of religious objects and gifts as well as copies of Fr Brian’s books and CD’s of our regular singers. The shop is open every day from 9.30am until Mass time in the evening. You can also enrol your intentions in our Mass Guild during those hours. We have a new selection of cards available.
