Sunday Collection: Thank you for your continued generosity to The Graan. The collection amounted to £1645

The Development Collection came to £672.


Today is the 2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time. Gathering to celebrate the Sunday Eucharist we give thanks for the gift of faith in Christ that enables us to see the hand of God and the Holy Spirit at work in our lives.

It is World Day of Migrants and Refugees.

Christmas Crib: Thank you for your donations to our Christmas Crib. Thanks to Gerry Murphy and the Jackson family for their hard work. Your donations will be donated to St Vincent de Paul to help their work with those in need.


Novena of Hope: 18th /19th March – 27th March. Our first meeting will be tomorrow Monday 16th Jan @ 8.30pm in the Prayer Room. We need a full attendance to prepare for what will be a special Novena. Contact others who might not be aware of this important meeting.


Guild Mass Cards: We have a wide selection of cards for Deceased, Mass Bouquets, Get Well, Birthday, Special Occasion and Exam Mass Bouquets which cost £2 / €2.50 each. We value your support.

Cleaning Group: Many thanks to the Church Cleaning Group who met last Wednesday evening.  

Prayer Groups At The Graan: Prayers before the Blessed Sacrament is held on Tuesdays @ 8.30pm.

Meditation Prayer Group - Wednesdays @ 8.30pm.          Charismatic Prayer Group - Thursdays @ 8.30pm.

Passionist Companions: Meet on the last Friday of each month at 8.30pm.

February 2nd is the feast of The Presentation. Candles will be blessed after the 8pm Mass on that night. There are candles on sale in our shop. On Friday February 3rd feast of St Blaise we will have Mass & Blessing of throats on Friday at 8pm. It will also be the First Friday of the month.   Ash Wednesday is on 1st March and Easter Sunday is on the 16th of April.


Feasts of the week: Tuesday is the feast of St Anthony. He was born in Egypt around 260. He went into the desert to live as a hermit and to do penance. Many came to him to learn how to pray.  Wednesday the 18th is the beginning of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.  Friday is the feast of St Fabian and also of St Sebastian who was one of the earliest Christian martyrs.

Saturday is the feast of St Agnes who was a 4th century martyr.
