And while her feast day is normally celebrated on the day she flew to heaven (April 11th), the Passionist Congregation celebrate her feast day annually on May 16th. She is the Patron Saint of Students, PharmacistsParatroopers and Parachutists,  loss of parents, those suffering back injury or back pain, those suffering with headaches/migraines, those struggling with temptations to impurity and those seeking purity of heart.

Thursday is the feast of St John 1.

Exam Prayer: Lord, pour out your Spirit of Wisdom on these students: help them to remain calm, to attend carefully to the questions asked, to think clearly, to remember accurately, and to express themselves well. Grant that they may reflect the best of the work they have done and the best of the teaching they have received. Accept their best efforts in these examinations and in the great test of life on earth. May your love be upon them O Lord, as they place all their trust in you.

A Celtic Blessing: May the blessing of light be on you, light without and light within. / May the blessed sunlight shine upon you and warm your heart, / so that the stranger and the friend are always welcome. / May the light shine out from your eyes so that people may come to you, as a wanderer takes shelter from a storm. / May the blessing of rain be upon you, soft and sweet; may it fall upon your spirit and your fields so that all good things may grow. / May the blessing of the earth be upon you, so that you may ever have a kindly greeting for people you meet. / And may the blessing of the stars be upon youso that you may know that the Lord blesses you always in your sleeping and in your waking. Amen
