Friday is the First Friday of the month. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament all day from 10am until 5pm. Confessions Tuesday to Friday 2- 5pm. Saturday 5pm – 6.15pm.

 

Guild Mass Cards: We have a wide selection of cards for Deceased, Mass Bouquets, Get Well, Birthday, Special Occasion, Exams, With Thanks Bouquets which cost £2 / €2.50 each. We value your support.

 

DUTY: Monday: No Duty; Mass @ 8pm: Brian. Duty 2- 5pm Tuesday – Friday. Tuesday: Arthur.

Wed: Victor; Thurs: Victor / Arthur; Mass: Arthur. Fri: Anthony. Saturday: Anthony.

Masses 5th & 6th Aug Vigil 6.30pm: Anthony; 10.30am: Brian; 12noon: Brian; 4pm: Arthur. All duties are subject to change.

AUGUST READERS AND MINISTERS: Thank you for your attendance during July. You are so dedicated. It’s important during the summer that readers and ministers are present for Masses. If for some reason you can’t be here please do all you can to ensure you get someone to stand in for you.

 

Feasts of the Week: Mon: St Ignatius Loyola who was the founder of the Jesuits. At the time of his death the society had spread to over a thousand members. His motto was “All for the greater glory of God”

Tues: St Alphonus Liguori founder of the Redemptorists. Wed: St Eusebius and also St Peter Julian the founder of the Blessed Sacrament Fathers. Fri: St John Vianney. He is the patron saint of priests.

Charismatic Prayer Group on Thursdays @ 8.30pm.

Passionist Companions: The last Friday of each month at 8.30pm.

Reflection:One of John B. Keane’s sons explained to me a lesson that he learned from his father, the poet and playwright, on his deathbed. John B. told him that forgiveness was an essential part of life. He went on to outline the 3 elements of forgiveness: 1) You must never be ashamed to ask for forgiveness if you have done wrong. 2) You must practice and learn to forgive others generously. 3) Be humble enough to forgive yourself.
