Sunday Collection: The Collection came to £1900. Thank you for your kind contributions as always. There will be a Development Collection taken up next Sunday 13th August.

 

Guild Mass Cards: We have a wide selection of cards for Deceased, Mass Bouquets, Get Well, Birthday, Special Occasion, Exams, With Thanks Bouquets which cost £2 / €2.50 each. We value your support.

 

DUTY: Monday: No Duty; Mass @ 8pm: Brian. Duty 2- 5pm Tuesday – Friday. Tuesday: Arthur.

Wednesday: Augustine; Thursday: Arthur / Augustine; Mass: Arthur. Friday: Anthony; Saturday: Anthony.          

Masses 12th & 13th Aug Vigil 6.30pm: Anthony; 10.30am: Brian; 12noon: Brian ; 4pm: Augustine.

All duties are subject to change.  

 

August’s Church Cleaning Group: Many thanks for your excellent work cleaning the Church on Wednesday last.

 

AUGUST READERS AND MINISTERS: Thank you for your attendance during July. You are so dedicated. It’s important during the summer that readers and ministers are present for Masses. If for some reason you can’t be here please do all you can to ensure you get someone to stand in for you.

 

Feasts of the Week: Tuesday: St Dominic, founder of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans). Born in Spain in 1170 and died in 1221. Wednesday: St Teresa Benedicta of the Cross. She is better known as Edith Stein. She was a Jewish philosopher who became a Catholic and later a Carmelite Nun. She died in the gas chambers in Auschwitz in 1942. Thursday: St Lawrence. Friday: St Clare. She influenced St Francis of Assisi and founded the various branches of the Poor Clare Nuns. Saturday: St Attracta & St. Muredach.

 

Belcoo Sports & Festival 10th – 15th August: A packed week with a range of events including Tues 15th Sports Day starting with parade from Community Centre 1.30pm usual OMG athletics 20th year of the Joe Nolan mile  clay pigeon shoot activities and side shows stalls dog show inflatables climbing wall assault courses rare breed animals music by Kathleen and Paddy at 4pm  Tommy Owens and Eugene Dolan at 6,30pm  9pm live music to close the festival.

Examinations: This is an anxious week for those who have done examinations at the beginning of the summer. We pray that the results will be helpful to you in the future planning of your life. Please God all your hard work will be rewarded.

 

Valuables in your Car: Please do not leave any valuables in your cars at any time at The Graan as it merely encourages criminals.

The Shop is open from Monday to Friday –9.30am – 8.30pm. Sat – 9.30am – 7pm and Sun - 9.30am – 5pm.
