The Collection last Sunday came to £1625. Thank you for your kind contributions.

The second collection for World Mission Ireland came to £1700. Your generosity is exceptional as always.

 

All Saints Day: Wednesday, 1st of November is the feast of All Saints. It is a Holyday of Obligation. Masses which fulfil the obligation are Vigil (31st) at 8pm & Nov 1st – 10.30am, 12noon and 8pm.

We also have extra confessional duty tomorrow from 2pm – 5pm. This is a busy week and we want to make it convenient for you.

All Souls Masses – 12.30pm. At 8pm we will have our Bereavement Mass. The Mass is for all bereaved people, not just recently bereaved. Please tell all your friends to come along on the night. We would like you to bring a memoriam card and place it at the front of the altar before Mass begins. Fr Charles with lead this service.

 

Indulgences:From 12nooon on the 1st Nov until midnight on the 2nd Nov, all who have confessed, received Holy Communion and prayed for the Pope’s intentions (one Our Father & Hail Mary, or any other prayer of one’s choice) can gain one plenary indulgence by visiting a church or oratory, and there reciting one Our Father and the Apostle’s Creed. This indulgence is applicable only to the souls departed. Confession may be made at any time within the week preceding or the week following 1st November. Holy Communion can be received on any day from 1st Nov to the 8th Nov. The faithful who visit a cemetery and pray for the dead may gain a plenary indulgence once per day on the same conditions November 1st to 8th.

Please return your November Dead List this week. The enrolled names will be left on the Altar during November and remembered at every Mass offered during the month of November.

The Dinner Dance is on Friday 24th November in the Killyhevlin Hotel with The Conquerors and the Dinner Dance tickets cost £35.00 each and are available at reception.

Our Raffle tickets are available at the porch doors also. Please take a book or two to sell to your friends.

Spot Prizes: As always we are looking for spot prizes for the dinner dance. Contact us if you have a Spot Prize and we will collect it or if you can leave it in at the front door of the Monastery with your name and address clearly written on it, we will be most grateful. Every spot prize will be given away on the night.

 

Adoration of Blessed Sacrament: We need more people to make a commitment to Adore for one hour each Friday between 10am and 5pm. Please leave your name, telephone number and Hour that suits you at reception. Thank you.

Guild Mass Cards: We have a new selection of Christmas Mass Bouquets in stock as well as Deceased, Mass Bouquets, Get Well, Birthday, Special Occasion, Exams, With Thanks Bouquets which cost £2 / €2.50.

 

Church Cleaning Group will meet on Wednesday (1st) at 8.30pm. (E Wilson, M Mc Aloon, A Mc Cauley, M Duffy, & A O’Reilly-Colton, M Quinn, K Thompson, T Keane, C & A Mc Cool & D Flynn).

The “Light A Candle” App: We are delighted to have been chosen as the testing Church for a first-of-its-kind mobile phone App, which allows a real candle to be lit in a real Church at the touch of a button from anywhere in the world. The candelabra has been positioned in front of the statue of St Paul of the Cross at the back of the church.
