Feasts of the Week: Tuesday: St Declan: He was an early Irish bishop and abbot. Wednesday: St James the Apostle. He was the brother of St John. He was the first of the apostles to be martyred. Tradition has it that the relics of St James were brought to Spain sometime after his martyrdom and his shrine at Compostella in Spain This place became one of the greatest pilgrimage centre in Western Europe. Thursday: St Joachim & St Anne – the parents of Our Lady, and grandparents of Jesus. Today is a special day for all grandparents.

A word of thanks has come in from the organisers of the “Botha to Kenya” 5Km Run/Walk. A special word of thanks is sent to Lidl, Dunnes, Beechvale Water and Cyberspace for sponsorship. The amount raised was £1155:00. Well done to all involved in this event

Botha (Derrygonnelly) Church renovation fundraising are having a Parish reunion weekend. beginning on this Friday 27th July -  Crossroads Dance with Country Cousins in Boho Sacred Heart Church carpark. Dancing 9.30pm - 12.00am. Saturday 28th July: Reunion Dinner Dance in Derrygonnelly Community Centre at 8.00pm. Sunday 29th July; Family Fun Day at the Harps Grounds. Adm: Adult £5, Family £10. With many other events including at 5.00pm: 5K/Funrun/walk. Entry £5. Registration at Harps Grounds on Friday 27th July from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.  For further info Contact Eileen at 07821689045.
