Sunday Collection: The collection last Sunday came to £1405. Thank you for your generosity as always. There will be a Development Collection take up after Communion today.

 

Today is the second Sunday of Advent. We light our second candle on the Advent wreath this Sunday, reminding us of the hope the growing light of the coming of Christ brings into our lives and our world.

 

Quote from Henri Nouwen: “O Lord, help me this Advent to reduce my daily input of distractions, and to see and appreciate the realities of faith, to treasure the things that really matter.”

 

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament every Friday from 10am – 5pm.

 

The Shop: Our shop has restocked for Christmas. There is a wonderful selection of cribs on display as well as candles and suitable gifts for Christmas, as well as Christmas Mass Bouquets. Enrolling your family and friends on our daily Mass Guild makes a special Christmas gift. Deceased, Get Well, Thinking of You, You Are in My Thoughts Mass Bouquets are also available.

 

Confession Times for Christmas: Please take note of these times and plan ahead to make sure you make your peace with God for Christmas.

Tomorrow Monday 10th to Fri 14th Confessions 2pm – 5pm.

Sat 16th December Confession 2pm – 6pm.

There will be no Confessions on Sunday 16th. From Mon 17th - Fri 21st confessions 2pm – 5pm.

Saturday 22nd confessions from 2pm – 6pm. Please come early.

There will be no Confessions on Sunday 23rd. Masses are at 10.30am, 12noon & 4pm.

Monday 24th (Christmas Eve) Confessions – 1pm – 5pm. After which the church will be closed to prepare for the Chrismtmas Ev Vigil. The church reopens at 7pm.

2019 Graan Calendar: Is available free of charge at the Graan shop today. Please take one home with you.

 

Passionist Companions Meeting: Takes place on Friday next 14th December at 8.30pm in the Prayer Room Everyone welcome.

St Michael’s College are holding a carol service in St Michael’s Church, Enniskillen - 13th December at 8pm.

 

St Michael’s Scout Bandwill play at the 4pm Mass on Sunday 16th. They will also play at the Christmas Eve Vigil Mass (Dec 24th) beginning with carols at 7.30pm in preparation for the blessing of the crib @ 7.50pm and Mass @ 8pm.   Christmas Day Masses will be at 9am. 10.30am, 12noon. There will be no Christmas Day Mass at 4pm.

 

Church Cleaning Group: Thanks to December’s Cleaning Group and indeed to all our dedicated teams for their continued hard work in 2018. This is a good time to thank all who help us in so many different ministries. We are so grateful to you all. We always encourage new members. Thanks to our Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers, singers, collectors, flower arrangers, gardeners, window cleaner and fundraisers. If anyone would like to become a Reader or Eucharistic Minister please leave your name, address and phone number at reception.
