Today is 2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time: The Fulfilment of God’s promises is compared to a wedding feast. The wine that flows is plenty speaks of the joy of the Kingdom.

 

Novena of Hope 2019: takes place this year from 23rd / 24th March – 1st April. There will be a meeting tomorrow Monday 21st January in the prayer room in preparation for the Novena. We are grateful for all the help we have received over the years during Novena time. We need your help to organise this event. If you are free please come along to this meeting.

Friday’s Exposition: Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament continues each Friday from 10am – to 5pm.

Vocation Retreat:A weekend retreat for young men interested in knowing more about life as a priest or brother in the Passionist Community will be held at the Passionist Monastery, Tobar Mhuire, Crossgar, County Down, beginning on the evening of Friday, 1 February and concluding with lunch on Sunday, 3 February. Christian Unity Week continues to the 25th January: A Service will take place on Thursday January24th at 7.30pm in St. Michael’s Parish Church Enniskillen.  The material for this year's celebration has been prepared by Christians in Indonesia and they have chosen as the theme ‘Justice and only justice you shall pursue’ (Deuteronomy 16: 18-20). The reflection will be given by Mgr. Joseph McGuinness, Diocesan administrator, Diocese of Clogher.

 

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK - 27 January – 3 February 2019: The theme this year is “Celebrating the Work of Our Local Catholic Schools”. Catholic Schools Week in the Diocese of Clogher will also be part of our preparations for the ordination of our new bishop on 10 February.

 

Feasts of the Week. Mon – St Agnes, Virgin & Martyr. Tues– St Vincent, deacon & martyr. Thurs – St Francis de Sales (1567 – 1622). His writings had a very important impact on the life of the Founder of the Passionists - St Paul of the Cross. He taught that all can attain a devout spiritual life whatever their position in society. Fri – Conversion of St Paul, marks the end of Church unity week. We continue to pray for Church Unity throughout the year. Sat – Sts Timothy & Titus. Timothy was the bishop of Ephesus. And Titus was the bishop in Crete.

 

Guild Mass Cards: We have a wide selection of cards for Deceased, Mass Bouquets, Get Well, Birthday, Special Occasion, Thinking of You & Exam Mass Bouquets which cost £2 / €2.50 each.

 

The Shop is open from Monday to Friday –9.30am – 8.30pm. Sat – 9.30am – 7pm and Sun - 9.30am – 5pm.
